Northern Window Cleaning – Terms of Business

By accepting our quotation or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Business. These terms apply when using services provided by Northern Window Cleaning.


1. Payment

1.1. Payment is due within 14 days of cleaning for domestic customers and 28 days for commercial customers.
1.2. Payments not received within 30 days may be subject to a late payment fee.
1.3. If late payment becomes a recurring issue, Northern Window Cleaning reserves the right to suspend or terminate services.
1.4. If payment is not received within 60 days, Northern Window Cleaning may instruct a debt collection agency. The customer will be liable for reasonable recovery costs (including collection and court fees).


2. Cleaning Frequency & Contracts

2.1. Services are provided on a 4-weekly or 8-weekly basis only.
2.2. Any changes to service (e.g. frequency, additional areas, property alterations) may result in a revised price.
2.3. Scheduling is approximate (4 or 8 weeks) and may be affected by staff holidays, illness, or poor weather.


3. Weather Conditions

3.1. All outdoor cleaning is weather-dependent.
3.2. We may clean in light rain where safe and practical.
3.3. Services may be postponed or cancelled in high winds, storms, or unsafe conditions.


4. Access to Property

4.1. If we cannot access parts of your property due to locked gates or other obstructions, we will clean only the accessible areas. The full price may still apply.
4.2. We are unable to return to complete restricted areas until the next scheduled visit.
4.3. Please ensure safe access is available on the cleaning day.
4.4. For insurance reasons, staff cannot move obstacles (e.g. garden furniture, plant pots).


5. Liability & Damages

5.1. Northern Window Cleaning is not liable for damage caused by existing structural or decorative defects at your property, including but not limited to: loose or ill-fitting windows, doors, fascia, guttering, trims, rotting frames, flaking paint, leaking seals, stuck-on decorative bars, or trickle vents.
5.2. We are not liable for decorative bars or trims coming loose, as this is typically caused by adhesive failure rather than our cleaning equipment.


6. Service Guarantee

6.1. We offer a 24-hour satisfaction guarantee. If you are not fully satisfied, we will return and re-clean free of charge.

6.3. Please note: it may take several cleans to achieve the best results if there are residues from previous cleaning methods, heavily soiled frames, or leaking trickle vents.


7. Cancellations & Postponements

7.1. If you wish to cancel your service, you must give notice within 14 days of your last clean by email or SMS.
7.2. Reminder texts are sent the day before your scheduled clean. Customers must reply in advance if postponement is required.


8. General

8.1. Northern Window Cleaning works hard to be reliable and consistent. We ask customers to provide the same reliability in return.
8.2. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
